Gabrie Higbie has lived in the Vail Valley since 2001. She discovered yoga her Freshman year of college at University of Massachusetts. She took yoga as an “easy credit” gym class and found something that has helped guide her throughout her life. Her first teachers were from Kripalu Center in Western Mass. She has practiced many different styles of yoga- from Ashtanga to Bikram, Hatha to Jivamukti, Kundalini to Vinyasa. Regardless of the style of practice, what has always remained constant is the importance of yoga in her life. Yoga has served as a source of strength and healing throughout much of Higbie’s life, and has provided her an understanding of how she fits into the world. Her connection to self, and her connection to Community has been consistently nurtured through her practice. She is honored to be teaching and is grateful to be able to share her love of yoga with the community.
