Heather’s number one focus while teaching yoga is making everyone feel comfortable. Heather likes to work with each individual in class, tending to their personal needs, modifications and adjustments. As she guides her students through movement she likes to weave in mindfulness and self-inquiry. She primarily works with seniors, people receiving cancer treatment, cancer survivors, and children. Heather wants everyone she teaches to feel good and take time to slow down and listen to his or her mind, breath and body during class. Heather has been teaching mindfulness and movement in local elementary schools, as well as teaching yoga at the Shaw Cancer Center for the past two years. Heather recently started teaching senior yoga at YOB. Heather is passionate about teaching; you will feel it in her classes.
