Rachel has been practicing yoga since 2002 and began teaching as a way to serve others in 2009. When she first came to yoga it was a way to enhance her athletic endeavors, however, it didn’t take long for her to discover that yoga was a place to heal. Her yoga and meditation practice continue to be a source of accountability for showing up in her life in a way that is authentic, compassionate and powerful.
Her classes are infused with an emphasis on breath, mindful movement and alignment. She invites students to compassionately look within to discover the power of who they truly are and what is possible through the practice of unconditional acceptance and trusting in the teacher within.
She is a 200 hour yoga alliance teacher and has studied with Corina Benner, Baron Baptiste, Anodea Judith, and Seane Corn. She is passionate about being of service locally and globally and is working with Children’s Global Alliance, a non-profit that takes youth to other countries to serve. She also teaches mindfulness in local schools with UB.U. She is a Reiki practitioner and offers energy healing in her community.
When she isn’t teaching she is out in nature running or biking with her dog, playing ice hockey or shuttling her two active boys around to their many adventures. She lives in Eagle with her husband
